About the artist
Daniel Militonian aka Dunkees was born in Moscow, Russia and immigrated to the United States when he was just 9 years old. Since he was a child, he's had a passion for art, but decided to pursue a career in computer animation. His work draws from pop culture and street art, which adds energy and playfulness to each piece. The "Smokimon" design blends these influences with bold colors and creative characters. This torch captures the spirit of fun and adventure. In 2012, he started selling his art on the Venice Beach Boardwalk and quit his day job to be a full time artist. Now as the owner of two galleries, Dunkees feels lucky and fortunate to have found his true calling. Want to meet the artist? Most days you can catch him painting live at his Venice Beach gallery.

Verified ownerThe picture doesn't do it justice honestly. Plus mine had colored grommets a blue one and a pink one which gave it character. I switched the bowl and stem around as it felt more comfortable to me. I also added a yellow hookah type mouth piece for flair. It looks bomb. It's so tiny and cute. It smokes nice as well... just be sure to not overcook it as it doesn't take much heat to get her going.
