About the artist

Daniel Militonian aka Dunkees was born in Moscow, Russia and immigrated to the United States when he was just 9 years old. Since he was a child, he's had a passion for art, but decided to pursue a career in computer animation. His work draws from pop culture and street art, which adds energy and playfulness to each piece. The "Smokimon" design blends these influences with bold colors and creative characters. This torch captures the spirit of fun and adventure. In 2012, he started selling his art on the Venice Beach Boardwalk and quit his day job to be a full time artist.
